Typhoon Conson
Typhoon Conson is approaching Hainan Island, after devastated Philipine into a flood hell, now it is estimate to exagerate further to bring threat to the main land China especially Guang Tong province.
For update satelite view of Conson :-Click here
This few days ever since I booked my parent a Taiwan trip during this August I am overweigh with nightmare of Taiwan being blow off by typhoon during this August season. I should have done my searching earlier, the second half of the year is the rainning and typhoon season in all countries like Taiwan, Japan, Philipines,HongKong, China...I as a Malaysian of course due to our peaceful weather all years round never realise how lucky we really are, until I book the Airasiago trip, damn Airasiago website, they should have warming people of this, they should be more informative to the consumer, you don't actually think they are innocent in these!?
I follow the website of typhoon prediction, and is watching closely the daily progress how the typhoon Conson develop in the middle of Pacific Ocean in 12/7/2010 and slowly progress itself into tropical storm and then face-off as the dreadful tropical cyclone and pass through Philipines in 14/7/2010 and causing a huge lost to the country and now actively intensifying in its way to South China Sea. Yet it did not stop there, it continues its journey toward the China, tonight, it is going to land on Hainan Island and all the fishing boat had stop sailling. Disasters like this teach those country citizen to appreciate our earth and our life more preciously. Of course as a Malaysian, I never realised.
What I only can hope now even there is more typhoon developed, I selfishly wishes that it will bypass Taiwan Island and make it safer during my parent trip there.

I would vote BN if......
this is smooth to the ears, but without any foundamental change to the current policy. Is that possible?

Protection.Security.Safety.
There are needs to protect our safety, our families whenever you are in USJ Subang Jaya. The area is extremely dangerous (no kidding).I have register the forum and the sms alert, and the reply is unexpected. There are crime everyday, every corner of USJ, snatch thieve, robber, broken house,kidnapping....it is just a matter of time when the next victim is you.
As my company is dealing with security industry, I should have been more protected by the information and the security, but, I have not doing it, instead I ignore the risk of my house been broken into which causing me to lost some very valuable (in terms of the replacement cost) family treasure years ago.
If you are planning to get a new house, something a lot of people tend to forget is to instal an alarm system. (why not an alarm system which cost just few hundreds when you can renovated for a 30k) Especially for those twin-salaries newlywed couples. Since both husband and wife are working, that left the empty house freely access to thief anytime of the working hours. An simple alarm system will do the magic, it protect you when you are not around, it protect you when you are around. It will call your handphone whenever your house alarm is triggled.
Never depends on your apartment guard to do their jobs, because most of the time they are just sleeping.Or they might be the friend of the criminal. A simple 4 channel network DVR with 4 IR camera made a combined CCTV system which can let you monitor your house when you are away. You can access the screen online anytime in your office.
Always, look around you when you drive alone or with friends. Our ADUN Hannah, have herself been follow when driving by herself. If suspect anyone follow you, don;t drive home, just drive to the nearest police station, never drive to petrol station. A friend of mine been the victim of snatch thief at a petrol station, no one is willing to help, everyone just watching. (typical malaysian responce)
Never go to the ATM machine alone, never walking to the backlane or quiet area at night alone.
There are 3 steps to ensure safety :-
1. Don't risk yourself in the place possible of crime.
2. Alway be cautions of your surrounding anytime any place.
3. React calm and quickly when facing with crime.Keep your police contact number at easy reach.
If you buy a property, make sure it is gated and guarded, it will definitely reduce the risk of been robbed. Don't let your guards know your daily schedule and working time. Don't let those maintenance worker come in your house and familiar with your schedule and surrounding.
Let us take this responsibility seriously to protect our children, our house and our society.

Ikea vs Court
If you had switch on your radio in the car, or just watching any tv advestisement lately, you must have notice the Court's ad for stock clearance...should be their closing sale, or meaning the Court is finally closing down.
I use the opportunity to look for a better sofa, so I head on to the nearest Court after office. I went in the store, and first come to my view is a row of chairs, new and old, listed nicely, waiting to be purchase by the customer, and the price tag is very attractive, RM10 for a looking-new chair. So here i go, even not needing one, I help myself pick up a chair, and 'boom' the wooden chair's top drop to the floor immediately. Look like the condition is not so good though, I think. So I pick up another one, now I am clever enough I sit on it to try first. To test the chair withstandibility to the maximum I sit on two legs of the chair like a rocking chair, and suddenly I heard someone shouting at me, ' Hey, you buat macam itu, mesti lah dia rosak, kalau semua orang buat sekali, saya tak payah juah lah' , i turn my face to this fierce, unfriendly salegirl, she is showing a I-not-welcome-you & you-better-go-face. Ashamed by that, I make myself stand-up and explain to the girl, I want to buy that is why i need to make sure the chair is really in good condition. The salegirl's reaction is 'I-not-really-care'....so I just head for the main door, and would not want to look back.
Inside my car, I keep thinking is it me who is rude that the salegirl has to react that way? Then I am thinking should I just write to complain to their management about the girl attitude toward customer? Then immediately I think of Ikea our foreign major furniture seller who is so successfully conquer the Malaysia's market, people go to buy, carry, and instal by themself yet it is everyday crowd everytime i visited the store.
What is the reason that Ikea is so successful, wheress the Court is closing now?? I think It is buried deep inside the culture of the store, which put customer satisfaction first as the soul of the spirit of the selling team. Customer went to the Ikea are actually encourage to sit, lying, twisting and testing the product, they even go to the limit to allow return of their product purchased within 60 days if you are not satisfied with it.
Try to compare that with the Court where I was humiliated just to test a chair.
Attitude is something Malaysian company need to learn from the international company, our kampung boy and girl is always lack of it, shame on our culture which is suppose to be more polite. I finally realise why Dr Mahathir included the Pendidikan Moral in the secondary school the time he was in power.
I would not spare my time and paper to complain the salegirl, she already learning the hard lesson - unemployement soon, if the lesson didn't teach her anything, I would not want to waste mine too.
